I teach sustainable yoga and inquiry based meditation

Sustainable yoga: The intention of my classes is to create a yoga practice that will last a lifetime. Flexibility is cultivated within the natural range of our joints and strength is developed as a counterbalance. My classes are sometimes described as “incremental,” “strengthening” and “slow flow.”

Meditation: My background is originally in Zen meditation. We use simple breath techniques to develop focus, concentration and willpower. We then use that focus for inquiry work designed to enhance our awareness.

Tradition: My yoga training has come primarily from teachers in the Southern Indian tradition of TKV Desikachar. This lineage uses the sequencing of the yoga postures to teach alignment and form. (It’s perfect for taking classes online!)
